Chapter 58
Ashley screamed as she pounced on Ricky, crying uncontrollably.
Ricky’s expression darkened with rage.
With a swift motion, he grabbed Ashley by the hair and slammed her head against the wall.
She screamed, then passed out.
“Bastard! How dare you bite the hand that feeds you?” Ricky spat, brushing off the dust from his sleeve as he glared at Ashley’s limp form, disgust etched on his face.
Mrs.
Holmes, terrified, attempted to leave, but Ricky’s sharp gaze turned murderous again.
He seized her dress and reached for her throat, ready to strangle her.
Despite Mrs.
Holmes’s tough exterior, she was no match for Ricky’s strength.
His hand closed around her neck, and he threatened in a low, menacing voice, “I’ll kill you if you try to divorce me.
Tell me—are you still going to divorce me?”
His eyes were bloodshot, the madness in them almost consuming him.
Mrs.
Holmes didn’t respond, and he tightened his grip, causing gasps of shock from the nearby diners.
Someone quietly dialed the police.
As Mrs.
Holmes’s face began to turn pale, her eyes rolling back from lack of oxygen, a bitter voice rang out, “Is this how a man should behave?”
Ricky froze for a moment, almost forgetting Nicole’s presence.
The instant he turned his head, Nicole launched a roundhouse kick, knocking his hand off Mrs.
Holmes’s throat.
Before he could react, Nicole twisted his arms behind his back with a sharp crack, dislocating his joints.
Ricky howled in agony, trying to resist, but Nicole followed up with a strike to the back of his neck.
He crumpled to the floor, unconscious.
Mrs.
Holmes, still in shock, fell to her knees.
Once she saw that Ricky was neutralized, Mrs.
Holmes’s shock began to subside.
“Thank you… Thank you so much.” Her voice trembled with gratitude.
Nicole had not only shown her the damning photo but had also come to her rescue.
“It was the least I could do,” Nicole replied, her tone calm.
Such a scumbag deserved no sympathy.
With Ricky lying motionless on the ground, Mrs.
Holmes slowly stood up, looking lost.
“What should I do now?” Everything had happened so quickly, and she didn’t know what to do next.
Noticing someone had already called the police, Nicole gave her a brief explanation.
“He intended to kill you, and you have evidence of his infidelity.
Divorce him, take everything, and send him to prison for the rest of his life.”
As for Ashley, she would be kicked out of the family—a fitting punishment for her actions.
“Thank you again.
You’ve saved my life today.
If there’s anything I can do for you, just ask,” Mrs.
Holmes said, her eyes filled with sincere gratitude.
Nicole smiled, “It’s alright.
I hope we’ll meet again.”
As Nicole turned to leave, Mrs.
Holmes paused for a moment, then quickly reached into her bag and placed a small pendant into Nicole’s palm.
“Take this.
You may find it useful someday.
If you ever need help, come to Summerworth Residence and show this to me.
My last name is Bond.”
Without waiting for a response, Mrs.
Holmes quickly turned away, seeking the security guards.
Nicole eyed the pendant in her hand, her brow furrowed slightly.
She didn’t try to follow Mrs.
Holmes, instead slipping the pendant into her pocket and returning to her table.
Samuel and Spencer, who had been waiting, looked at her with curiosity.
“Where have you been for so long?”
Nicole shrugged, “I just bumped into an acquaintance and had to take care of a few things.”
Norah, overhearing, frowned.
“Who was it? Your schoolmate?”
Nicole narrowed her eyes, sensing there was more to this.
“Yeah, it was Ashley.”
Norah’s face froze.
“Oh, it was her… Isn’t she a good friend of Snow’s?”
“You know her well?” Nicole raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
