Riley, standing across the desk, watched her with a hint of admiration. She had seen Eden’s passion for design before, but the depth of her focus now was undeniable. “These are perfect, Riley,” Eden said, looking up from the swatches with a smile. “Let’s go with the fur line for the limited edition. I’ll begin finalizing the designs tonight.”
Riley nodded, her expression serious but respectful. “I’ll prepare everything for production. I’ll let you know if anything comes up.”
Eden smiled again. “Great. Thank you for your hard work.”
As Riley turned to leave, Eden packed her things and took a final glance at the drawings on her desk. She was looking forward to the evening ahead with Jasper, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something important was looming just out of reach.
The tension with the Gienger family was far from over. The way Bethany had reacted, the undercurrent of hostility from Myra, and even Antony’s cautious behavior—it all felt like pieces of a larger puzzle. She wasn’t sure if it had anything to do with her past, but it was clear that the Gienger family wasn’t done with her yet.
But tonight was a break from all that. She tucked the swatches into her bag, closed the office door behind her, and stepped out, ready to meet Jasper. Maybe a good dinner and some time to unwind would help clear her mind.
As she walked through the lobby of Alwynn Group, she couldn’t help but notice the employees’ gazes following her. When she arrived at the front door, she saw Jasper’s car waiting for her. His face broke into a wide grin as soon as he saw her.
“Ready for dinner?” he asked, stepping out of the car to open the door for her.
“Definitely,” Eden replied with a smile. “And after that, we’ll check out the house you mentioned.”
Jasper chuckled. “You’re going to love it. I’m sure of it.”
