Welma added, “Bonnie, what are you standing around for? Get Master Jim some water. He must be
parched after being on the road for so long.”
Jim was slightly overwhelmed, saying, “Th-that’s not necessary. You guys don’t have to make a big
deal out of it.”
‘I only intend to keep Bonnie safe. I don’t want to trouble her and her family. Worse, her mom even
asked her to get me some water. It should’ve been the other way around.’
“I had an early dinner, Gerald. I just need a place to spend the night. Is it okay if I head to my room
to rest?”
“Of course, Master Jim! I’ll prepare some chicken and lamb for tomorrow,” Gerald said.
