Chapter 226
The lobby manager’s servile attitude puzzled everyone.
Daken and Avril exchanged glances. They knew Bonnie had an extraordinary relationship with
Hamish and Tang Fusion Studios. However, they did not understand her relationship with Jade
Horizon Hotel.
Considering the lobby manager’s demeanor, he seemed to hold Bonnie in high regard.
Although Bonnie received strange glances from the crowd, she did not bother explaining herself.
Instead, she said, “We arrived first. Who do you think the private room should go to?”
“You, of course. Please, the private room is this way, miss.” The manager realized he had
inadvertently offended Bonnie earlier. Now, he bent over backward to please her.
Meanwhile, Dermot’s expression darkened as he stopped the manager, saying, “Robert, shouldn’t
you give me the private room instead?”
The manager knew Bonnie and Dermot’s family were at odds, so his attitude toward Dermot turned
sour. “Mr. Dermot, you’re a prominent figure. How could you stoop so low and try claiming someone
else’s room?
“I must’ve been blind to be so friendly toward you before. From today onward, I want no further
dealings with you.”
Dermot trembled. “Robert, what’s gotten into you?”
“That’s enough, Mr. Dermot. Please take care,” the manager said indifferently.
Dermot’s expression turned grim. He wanted to leave with his family, but he would feel even more
embarrassed if he did.
“What, he’s just a lobby manager, isn’t he? How dare he speak to you like that, Dad. How he spoke
would make others think his family owned Jade Horizon Hotel,” Brittany said despite herself.
Dermot relaxed when he heard that.
‘Yeah, he’s just a lobby manager, and I own a publicly listed company.‘ It’s all about showing respect
if I can be on good terms with the hotel owner.‘
“Robert has overstepped his boundaries!” Dermot decided to get close to the hotel’s higher–ups and
make the lobby manager regret his actions.
Ultimately, Bonnie did not go to the private room because they felt the spacious ambiance was
better in the lobby. As Bonnie and the others took their seats, Dermot and Brittany took theirs.
Coincidentally, there were only these two neighboring tables remaining in the lobby.

“What a mood killer.” Avril felt annoyed seeing Brittany’s family.
Brittany glared at Avril and the others.
“I’ve had it with them.” Avril wanted to roll up her sleeves.
“Don’t mind them. Let’s focus on our meal and let them focus on theirs.” Bonnie handed the menu to
Daken, who appreciated Bonnie more and more.
‘Bonnie knows how to respect her elders. She’s nothing like the rumors state. She’s impeccable in

eyes. I thought my daughter was sensible, but Bonnie’s even more so. She considers things more
thoroughly, and she’s talented.‘
“Hey, Bonnie, I need to ask you something.” Avril poked Bonnie’s arm, looking curious. “How do you
know the lobby manager?”
Daken was just as curious. While pretending to read through the menu, he listened intently to
Bonnie’s answer.
