Catherine’s eyes flickered with a cold, calculating intensity as she listened to Audrey’s words. Audrey nodded, a little relieved to see Catherine’s determination. She had underestimated her sister before, but now it seemed that Catherine wasn’t just a figurehead in the Swanns family—she was someone who could turn the tides in her favor, no matter how difficult the situation might become.
“You’ve always been strong, Kathy,” Audrey said, her voice softening. “But don’t forget—sometimes, strength isn’t just about power. It’s also about knowing when to trust someone.”
